We are a collaboration between a climate change student, with a love for education and raising awareness and an environmentalist that likes to build useful things.
Having attended quite a few events, festivals, presentation, we started wondering if they needed to use fossil fuel to make them happen, if maybe there’s a more interactive way of doing things like that. As we both love cycling and we believe that we should move towards renewable energy, and after a fair bit of research –Cycletricity was born- human pedal powered energy generation.
We believe that we can all make a difference, that things can be done in a way that nurtures us and the Planet as well. Doing green things is about using one’s imagination and creativity, thinking of new and exciting ways of doing things that will make a positive change in your life and everyone else.
Cycletricity aims to provide people with an alternative. Our “equipment” can be used to host a pedal powered cinema or presentation, it could power a band on stage at a festival or a community event or you could try our “light bulb competition” to physically experience how much energy is needed to power an old filament light bulb compared to a LED one. This are just a few suggestion. We are open to your suggestions and ideas for new and wonderful challenges.
Please check out the other pages to see how they look like and a few ideas about how/where they can be used.
